The range of standard safety signs is vast. Before you browse on line or order a catalogue we recommend that you take a moment to familiarise yourself with the sign classification system and choose the right material for your requirement.
Bear in mind the distance at which the sign has to be read and choose their size accordingly.

Safety signs have to durable and placed in highly visible places. If they have to be sited in a dark area they should be illuminated. Fire safety signs in particular should be luminous if there is a likely hood of power failure and you should consider floor markings if smoke is likely in an emergency. Fire escape signs will indicate direction of escape except on the final door to safety. Staff should rehearse their likely escape route in the event that an emergency occurs.
All the sign materials listed below are suitable for inside or outside use. Anti graffiti film can be applied to the sign for an extra cost.
SELF ADHESIVE VINYL is a thin PVC and is easy to apply to a smooth non porous surface.
RIGID PVC is a thicker material that can be screwed, glued or taped to suitable surfaces.
FOAM PVC is a lighter weight and thicker material which gives more rigidity to the sign.
POLYCARBONATE. signs are virtually unbreakable and if anti graffiti film is applied then it is very vandal resistant.
ALUMINIUM signs are tough and long lasting. They are particularly used for road signs.
PHOTO LUMINESCENT (luminous) signs can be made from any of the materials above and will remain visible in darkness for a limited period of time.
FIBRE GLASS signs have their message encapsulated inside the material and are very vandal resistant and durable.
ILLUMINATED signs are framed and internally illuminated. Requiring a power source.
SELF ILLUMINATING signs and battery operated signs are available.
